Evelyn and Paul
I graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls in 1964 with a degree in elementary education. I married Paul Soli (Austin 1960) in 1965 and continued teaching for a few years in Hopkins and So. St. Paul, MN.
We have three grown children (one son and two daughters) and three grandchildren with one on the way. Our son was a Merit Scholar in high school and graduated from the U of MN before entering a doctorate program at U of CA San Diego. He changed plans and left with an academic Masters Degree. He is a Marketing and Promotional Director for an international computer software company based here in the Twin Cities.
Our first daughter graduated from Bethel College. She is currently a stay at home Mom with their son. Our second daughter manages the book store at a MN Technical College.
Our children live in the Twin City area and we enjoy them being close, although we know it could change.
I was home raising our children into elementary age and caring for my mother in our home until 1983. After that, I helped start a private kindergarten in Woodbury Lutheran and then returned to college to seek a Kindergarten, Pre-K, Parenting Licensure called Family Life Educator. I have been teaching parenting and early childhood classes ever since for Inver Grove Heights and So. St. Paul school systems.
I enjoyed my high school years and received a quality education along with the other great members of our class. I have enjoyed reading about all the honors, awards, educational degrees, experiences and adventures of our classmates. Congratulations to everyone!
