Brylcreem, Ducktail and Buddy Holly Glasses boy were we cool back then or whatJerry did not graduate from ALHS. I left ALHS in 1958 (10th grade). He was very thankful that you let him claim ALHS as his school and that he can say that he was a part of the class of 1960. At the height of his career he was the "Vice President of Engineering" for a major Manufacturing Company in Texas. He received from the United States Patent Office, as an inventor (6) Patents in his name. He accomplished a lot more than he ever expected in life. I lived at 211 S. 4th St. P.O. Box 56 in Mallard, IA 50562. I married this lovely girl, Carol (Meyer) from the class of '62 We were married on December 10th 1967. I have been blessed with 2 lovely Daughters and 9 wonderful grand children to spoil. I was diagnosed with Cancer in 1995.. I came back to the quiet Midwest. I was allowed to travel all over the world and got to live in a number of states. I got tired of the rush rush. Jerry had a lot of time on his hands now. He had been thinking about doing this site for quite a while. Just in case any of you are "Friends of Bill", you will know why July,17 1980 was important to him. Jerry died from complications of his cancer on Jan. 1, 2008. Thanks for all you did for YOUR class, Jerry! We miss you. |
