By the picture you can see it is evident, some things are like a fine wine and only improve with age. Asking for a short bio. Ten pages would probably be considered short now, as opposed to when I was 20 about 40 years ago. That might have been a possibility then. Can we forget about Gilmore and grammar? Oh well, here goes. Five years in the US Seabees after high school as a carpenter. Combat vet, very proud of that, very ashamed of the US body count that Washington is responsible for. Went to college, became a construction engineer. Worked underground and highway construction mainly. A belly up contractor on my own. Then a City engineer, currently a college professor to pay the bills, and a rancher (cattle and horses) always and forever. Just goes to prove that anyone can profess. The Rolling M ranch is where the heart is. Along the way, got married and had three children. After 28 years, got a divorce. Smartest thing I ever did. Some of us are just slow learners. Am now married for five years to my beautiful redhead, Jane, the greatest woman in the world and have five children and three grandkids. Live in the Garden of Eden just west of Menahga, belong to a great church, have fantastic neighbors and have been very richly blessed in my life. Deer hunting -- we own the best piece of deer hunting land in the upper Midwest, bar none. Will probably have to get out of bed to go deer hunting. Out checking this morning, had a big doe or buck and a fawn or yearling come through early this morning about 125 feet south of the shop. Or seventy five feet from one of my deer stands. Hate to have to haul that meat too far. Retirement, unfortunately, is still four years away. That’s because I was one of the younger people in the class. This spring, we will start building our dream house (castle) and that will be our retirement project which will include a huge wood shop, both Jane’s and my other passion. In the short run, we will continue living in the royal shop and count our multitude of blessings. God has blessed us in many and wondrous ways. Yesterday, I made the doctor rounds again. Had prostate cancer surgery this fall and a few other maladies. As of yesterday, AM cancer free. As I said, we continue to count God’s multitude of blessings to us.
