Darlene and Norm Johnson Now
I married Norman Johnson. I was one of those who married before graduation. We celebrated our 45th anniversary this past December so I guess it was the right choice.
We lived in Albert Lea until 1982. I worked for and insurance agent and Norm worked construction. This is where we raised our 2 boys, Christopher and Erik until they were 14 and 10.
In 1982 we moved to a suburb of Dallas-Hurst, Texas and lived there for about 3 years. I worked for an insurance company as a claims representative and Norm was employed by a contractor. Son Christopher graduated from high school there and Norm got lonesome for the Midwest. We then moved to Iowa to the "Family Farm" in Lake Mills.
I have been an insurance representative for a company in Des Moines, IA and recently (last year) retired to the good life. Norm retired in 1999. Last September we celebrated by seeing the sights in Seattle and Vancouver and Cruised Alaska. It was a wonderful trip.
Our children live in Houston, TX and Denver Co. We spend our time visiting the kids and seeing the sights between Texas and Colorado. Chris and his wife, Nadine have blessed us with 3 grandchildren ( all boys). We are truly blessed with wonderful children, grandchildren, good health and this wonderful and beautiful country we live in.
