I have 2 sons, Chris and Kim 2 Grand children, Celina and Evan

After graduation, I lived in Minneapolis for a year, and then joined the Navy. I was stationed in San Diego for a year, boot camp and tech school (electrician). I spent two years in Sasebo, Japan on a minesweeper, then back to Long Beach for a year on another minesweeper.

After the Navy, I went to college on the G.I. bill and graduated from Winona State in 1969. I worked for the Defense Department in Detroit, Michigan, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Dayton, Ohio. I retired with thirty years of service and moved to Winona.

While living in Winona, I was a participant in two medical studies at the Mayo Clinic, worked for the Winona County Historical Society, worked on several habitat for humanity homes, worked for the county Veterans Services...driving disabled Vets to the VA hospital in Minneapolis, delivered meals on wheels once a week, and worked with the Winona School Board on legislative issues.

I was divorced in 2004. I married Joan Bumgardner from Springboro, Ohio, a lady who I have known for many years as a good friend. We were married November 3, 2007. I didn't know that a geezer could be so happy.
