Christine Carlson

After graduation from ALHS, I entered Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester MN. I graduated in August of 1963. I had met my future husband shortly before graduation. Dan worked at IBM in Rochester and we were married in November of 1964. I worked at the State Hospital in Rochester until it closed in 1981. I then went to a nursing home that was just opening and worked there for 18 years. I retired from nursing in 2000. For the last 7 years, I have done flu shot clinics in the fall of the year.

I have three children, two boys and one girl. I have nine grandchildren, 5 boys and 4 girls. Dan lost his battle with lung cancer in April of 2007. The children and grandchildren keep me busy.

We wintered in Gulf Shores, Alabama before Dan got sick and Hurricane Ivan devastated the area. I enjoy bowling, golfing, traveling, and reading.
